The Pillar of Service influences alumni for a lifetime. Jenny Chlipala ‘14 is passionate about wildlife and restoration. With an M.S. from Tarleton State University in Wildlife and Natural Resources, she pursued a career in grassland restoration, invasive species management and conservation outreach, now serving as an Associate Director of Save the Prairie Society. For Circle the Cities 2024, Jenny, alongside former Nazareth Faculty member Sue Martin worked with volunteers at Wolf Road Prairie to help with their restoration efforts.

“We collected native seed – wild hyacinth, Camissa scilloides – to be redistributed back into the prairie as we work to restore and protect the prairie. Volunteers are critical to the survival and maintenance of our wildlife habitats, which have become fragmented and require human intervention to sustain native biodiversity.
I serve as an Associate Director and Board Member for Save the Prairie Society at Wolf Road Prairie. We at Save the Prairie Society are so grateful and thrilled to have the Nazareth community with us and appreciate all the support and dedication spent volunteering to preserve and restore native habitats.
I am truly grateful to Nazareth for the wonderful opportunities provided to me during my time as a student leader to support me for this role and applying the Nazareth Pillars of scholarship, service, spirit and unity as an ambassador for conservation, land stewardship and environmental education. We look forward to more opportunities to work together!”
